The Problem

And why you're still struggling

Most women with leaking, pelvic pain, pressure, or constipation are told things like “just do kegels” or “that’s normal after kids.” So you try random exercises, patch together advice, and hope it gets better.

Meanwhile, symptoms keep showing up  during workouts, intimacy, daily life, leaving you frustrated and unsure where to turn.

Pelvic floor symptoms are common, but they are not normal, and they are absolutely treatable with the right approach.

Meet Dr. Olivia

Dr. Olivia Van Guyse is a pelvic floor physical therapist who specializes in whole-body care for high-achieving women. Before becoming a physical therapist, she worked as a personal trainer and nutritionist and saw too many women dismissed, given vague advice, or told their symptoms were normal.

Viva Pelvic Health was created to offer a different level of care. Dr. Olivia treats the pelvic floor as part of a connected system that includes strength, stress, hormones, nutrition, and the nervous system, helping women restore confidence, move without fear, and build lasting resilience.

This is holistic pelvic floor physical therapy, done differently.

What Our Clients Are Saying

Giving you the best pelvic health care virtually and in-person.

Dr. Olivia has been an absolute Godsend to me. She is extremely thorough & knowledgeable, immediately put me at ease and made me feel confident that we’d be able to resolve my pelvic issues, and lo and behold – it’s happening! I feel empowered with the knowledge and tools I need for my long-term success. Worth every dime.

I saw Dr. Olivia and my experience was wonderful. I came in with severe pain and in one session she truly helped. Obviously, it will take more than one session, but there was a large difference. I felt that she provided a caring and respectful environment. She really listened to what I had to say and made me feel valued.

I started seeing Dr. Olivia when I was 20 weeks pregnant and then throughout my postpartum journey. I felt so prepared for birth and she truly helped me rehab and get back to my baseline postpartum. I received absolutely stellar care and I highly recommend her! I think all pregnant women should be receiving pelvic floor therapy throughout pregnancy and postpartum.

She truly helped me with my condition and it’s becoming more manageable and I’m not in constant pain everyday. Regarding my condition, I’ve had all sorts of doctors dismiss me and ever since the first day I started getting help, she was knowledgeable and told me all my symptoms are common. If it weren’t for her, I’m not sure what I would’ve done. She’s made a huge difference in my quality of life.
KM
From where I was at my first appointment (debilitating pain) to now, managing and strengthening my muscles and about 75% less daily pain. It’s seriously worth every penny. This is not your average physical therapy, I highly recommend her to anyone who has pain that they want to heal naturally.

Frequently Asked Questions

You've got questions. We've got answers.

Your healing timeline is unique and depends on: How long you’ve had symptoms, your nervous system’s response, and how consistent you are with your personalized plan. Instead of guessing (“X” weeks), we measure progress through phases of treatment: Reconnect, Root Cause, Restore, Resiliency. Because that’s what actually reflects your body’s healing, not the calendar.

After 3-4 sessions, we’ll know exactly what trajectory you’re on:

  • Fast responder (symptoms improve quickly with the right strategies)
  • Steady progress (your body needs time to break long-standing patterns)
  • Multi-layered (Various contributing factors & chronic tension)

Those rigid timelines you get in traditional PT (“10 weeks”) are based on insurance limitations…not biology.

We are an out-of-network practice which means insurance companies don’t get to dictate your treatment plan, visit frequency, or the quality of care you receive.

For in-person sessions: You can submit a Superbill to your insurance for potential reimbursement through your out-of-network physical therapy benefits. Similar to in-network, coverage varies, so we recommend calling your insurance to confirm your OON benefits.

For virtual sessions, programming, and coaching: Insurance hasn’t caught up to the research. These services are highly effective and often more transformative than traditional PT, but they do not fall under insurance-approved “telehealth PT” categories. For that reason, they are self-pay services.

Most clinics give you a few exercises and a “see you next month.” If something feels off, you wait… and progress stalls.

Pelvic health isn’t meant to be treated this way. It’s influenced by stress, training, hormones, nutrition, and your nervous system — far more than just Kegels.

Our approach is different:

  • No guessing between sessions. We check your form, breath, warm-ups, and programming so you’re always progressing.
  • Continuous support. Ask questions and get feedback in real time — not weeks later.
  • Whole-body, evidence-based care. We treat the root causes — stress, posture, pressure, movement, metabolism, and pelvic floor coordination.
  • Built-in accountability. The single strongest predictor of long-term success.

In short: you get the level of support, personalization, and whole-body care that traditional PT simply doesn’t have the time or structure to offer.

Never. Pelvic floor function can improve at any stage of life. If something feels off, your body is asking for support.

Your doctor will assess how your pelvic floor, core, hips, breathing, and movement patterns are functioning together. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of what’s causing your symptoms and a personalized plan to address it.
