You're Skeptical About Virtual PT. That's Fair.
Let's Address the Elephant in the Room
Here’s what most people don’t realize: a huge portion of pelvic floor physical therapy doesn’t require hands-on internal work. Movement assessment, breathing mechanics, pelvic floor coordination, load management, and education are all things that can be evaluated and addressed through a screen.
We have worked with women across California who had spent years bouncing between OBs, urologists, and general PTs without getting real answers. Virtual sessions create the space to slow down, assess the whole picture, and actually build a plan that works for your body and your life.
You’ll be seen, heard, and given a clear path forward. That doesn’t require a clinic.

Is This for You?
You've Been Managing These Symptoms Long Enough
This is for you if:
You leak when you sneeze, cough, jump, or laugh and it’s getting old
You have pelvic pain that your doctor keeps calling “normal”
Sex is painful and you’ve been avoiding intimacy (pain with sex is treatable)
You’re postpartum and your core and pelvic floor don’t feel like yours anymore
You’re dealing with urinary leakage or urgency that disrupts your day
You were told you have pelvic organ prolapse and have no idea what to do next
You have diastasis recti and can’t find a provider who takes it seriously
You’re pregnant and already feeling pelvic pressure, hip pain, or tailbone discomfort
Your Initial Evaluation
Your first session is a full deep dive. Your doctor takes a thorough history, assesses your movement patterns, breathing mechanics, and pelvic floor function through guided movement. You leave with a clear picture of what's going on and a plan to fix it.
Your Custom Exercise Plan
Your program is delivered through an app with video demonstrations, written cues, and form-check feedback. No guessing. No generic Kegel handouts. Your plan evolves as you progress.
Direct Access to Your Doctor
Between sessions you can message your doctor directly. Got a question after your workout? Noticed a new symptom? We are accessible and responsive. You're not waiting for your next appointment to get answers.
Virtual Check-Ins
Beyond your formal sessions, your doctor checks in bi-weekly to track how your program is landing. Adjustments happen in real time, not six weeks from now.
Education, Nutrition, and Lifestyle
Pelvic health doesn't live in isolation. We integrate education on bladder habits, bowel function, nutrition, breathing mechanics, and nervous system regulation when relevant to your care.
The Founder
A Pelvic Floor PT Who Treats the Whole Person
Dr. Olivia Van Guyse is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who has dedicated her practice to women’s pelvic health. Her approach goes beyond the pelvic floor in isolation. She looks at how your nervous system, movement patterns, breathing, and daily habits all contribute to your symptoms.
She started Viva Pelvic Health because she kept seeing the same story: women who had been told their symptoms were normal, who had been handed a generic Kegel sheet, or who had simply given up looking for answers. That’s not acceptable care.

Serving California Women Virtually
Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy for Californians, Wherever You Are
California is one of the most progressive states in the country when it comes to healthcare access, and yet pelvic floor physical therapy is still hard to find, hard to get into, and rarely covered by insurance. In cities like Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Sacramento, and Fresno, waitlists for in-person pelvic PT can stretch weeks or months. In more rural parts of the state, like the Central Valley or the North Coast, specialized providers may be an hour or more away.
Virtual pelvic floor physical therapy removes that barrier entirely. California women can access specialized, one-on-one care from a licensed pelvic floor physical therapist without commuting, without waiting, and without needing a referral from their OB or primary care doctor.
Whether you’re a postpartum mom in Pasadena, a runner dealing with leakage in Oakland, or a woman in her 40s managing prolapse symptoms in San Jose, virtual pelvic floor physical therapy gives you access to expert care on your schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. Viva Pelvic Health is a cash-pay practice and you can schedule directly without a referral from your OB, primary care doctor, or any other provider. HSA and FSA funds are accepted.
Yes, for the vast majority of conditions we see. Movement assessment, breathing mechanics, pelvic floor coordination, and load management are all things Dr. Olivia can evaluate and treat through a screen. Learn more about the virtual PT service and what a session includes.
Virtual sessions do not include internal pelvic examination. If your doctor determines that hands-on internal work is a critical part of your care, she will be transparent about that and help you find an in-person provider if needed. Many conditions resolve fully without internal work.
It depends on the severity and history of your symptoms, but most women start noticing meaningful changes within four to eight weeks. Your doctor builds a clear timeline into your initial plan so you know what to expect.
Viva Pelvic Health is an out-of-network, cash-pay practice. This keeps sessions longer, more personalized, and completely undiluted by insurance constraints. Many clients use HSA or FSA funds. Some PPO plans may reimburse out-of-network claims. Your doctor can provide a superbill upon request.
A smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera, a stable internet connection, and enough floor space to move around. That’s it. You’ll get instructions before your first appointment.
Pregnancy-related pelvic pain, hip discomfort, leakage, and pressure symptoms are very common and very treatable. Virtual physical therapy is a safe and effective option during pregnancy.
